The holidays can be chaotic, I get it. But dont forget to make time for some of the things that also make it magical. Not everything has to cost you a lot of time or money. Some of these bucket list ideas are simple and sweet.
Wake up early and enjoy your coffee by the light of the christmas tree. Put your phone in another room and just enjoy the cozy moment.
Make homeamde gingerbread cookies (or any kind of Christmas cookies!) Go all out and decorate with icing and sprinkles. Invite some friends over and turn up Mariah!
Take a holiday inspired bubble bath with a fun bath bomb and peppermint scented everything! Bring your hot cocoa in with you!
Take a drive to look at Christmas lights one night. Reseach areas in your town that are known for their holiday light setups, pack up the family and bring a thermos with hot cocoa or tea.
Find a local seasonal attraction that's going on. For instance, here in Asheville we have a rooftop bar that's offering an igloo to enjoy your bites and drinks!
Treat yourself to holiday coffee at Starbucks.
Buy a Christmas sweater and wear it holiday shopping!
Write out a list of gifts you'd love to recieve like you did when you were a kid.
Carve out a day or evening for a Hallmark movie marathon. Set up charceturie boards with holiday snacks like popcorn, cookies and candies.
Find a homemade ornament to make at home with friends or kids.
Decorate your bedroom for the holidays.
Find a fun holiday book to read! I'm reading, The Christmas Murder Game by Alexandra Benedict, currently.
Host a gingerbread house decorating competition!
If ice skating is avaliable in your area, GO! If not, commit to a winter walk one evening.
Get photos with Santa...duh!
Volunteer somewhere as a family or with a group of friends.
Go sledding if you live where it snows or find a manmade snow area that offers sledding, skiing or tubing.
Go to a holiday parade!
