Where we stayed, where we ate and where we partied!
So, let me start by saying Savannah is our very favorite place to take a trip. It is known as New Orlean's sister city because of their similar cultures. We absolutely love the music, the architecture and the history waiting around every corner.
The last two times we visited Savannah, we stayed in two different parts of the area (keep in mind though, you CAN walk to anything and everything no matter where you stay) so be sure to wear comfortable shoes! There are also trolleys and carriage rides available for easier transport; especially if you're traveling with little ones. To make it easier, I broke down the two parts based on why you may be coming and who you may be traveling with.
Forsyth Park Area
-This area is going to be the "calmer"part of downtown Savannah. This would be a more ideal area to stay if you're coming with family or kiddos (less of a bar scene, remember, Savannah is an open container city. so drinking on the streets/sidewalks is legal) The Forsyth Park area offers more direct access to the incredible architecture and history the city offers. The landmarks and squares all have a story to tell and the trees and fountains are breathtaking. There are plenty of spots to have a picnic and snap photos. As I mentioned before though, the river district and bars are still in walking distance, just wear your comfy shoes because it is a little bit of a hike. We did a ghost tour downtown at night and it was SO much fun- highly recommend any of them. It's a great way to see more of the architecture and enjoy some ghost stories along the way.
- We stayed an airbnb at the Forsyth Mansion, no longer open for stays :( but there are tons of really cool airbnbs and boutique hotels!
River Street District
-This is where we stayed most recently! And where I would recommend staying for a Bach party! There are TONS of bars and resturant to choose from. I'll name a few of the ones we loved below. Baystreet Blues was where we went both nights because they had karaoke and $1 jello shots :) We stayed at the Bryce Hotel. It is a boutique hotel and it's pretty pricey but it is absolutely DREAMY! They had a gorgeous garden, free coffee every morning and free wine & cocktails from 4-6 everyday in the lobby. The hotel restaurant offers a pretty decent breakfast and there is a pool too!

The Rail Pub (this is where we took the videos dancing and singing karaoke outside)
Top Deck Bar (rooftop!!)
Churchills Pub (rooftop, amazing service and the fried green tomatoes are a MUST!)
Electric Moon Skytop Lounge (great for pics & they have a rooftop slide!)
Myrtle & Rose Rooftop Garden (rooftop and totally IG worthy)
Must visit restaurants: Mrs. Wilkes Dining Room - This is such a cool experience. But get there early! You'll be waiting in line. It is worth it and don't forget, you can sip your cocktails in line ;) This is family style southern dining and oh my worddddddd its delicious!
The Olde Pink House- this is a staple in Savannah! Just, trust me. If you're going for a bachelorette party this should DEFF be on your list!
Hueys- We stopped here on our way out and I am so glad we did! It is traditional New Orleans dining and has authentic beignets that will rock your world!
I will add more to this as I think of things and visit more! This city has soooo much to offer and I cannot recommend it enough! Happy Drinking!
